‘paradise’:
The work I feel is only a starting point to a narrative that can play a huge role into works to come.
Before I began this work, I had a thought of paradise. What is it, really. Paradise can surely mean something different to everyone, and if we were there in paradise forever, would it continue to remain paradise... or just a place.
In these works, color plays a large role in the narrative - as the pieces progress we see colorful figures in a lush tropical land and as the story closes we see a figure with an absence of color, dulled and muted and an expression to suggest that, paradise, is anything but.
