In this Rouge Piece, I was beginning an idea towards a series of focusing on using only primary colors to execute the emotion and atmosphere of the work. In 'Red Nude', we see an image of a woman, nude, perhaps after a bath or preparing for the day. The cubist style with this minimal approach creates a sensual expression within the work.
I used only carmine red, permanent red and white to create this piece. The effects of these pure colors creates a very interesting and unique look, in that no matter what light you are viewing the piece in it has a different look. (you can see this in the detail image where it looks a bit darker - in some lighting the red is so bright , it almost has a neon like feel to it. )

The work is painted in Oil on Panel. Varnished in a Satin UV Protective Varnish and Framed in a Slim Modern Matte Black Frame with hanging hardware. (Frame can be easily removed if you desire to add to a frame of your own choosing.
