About This Piece:
"Children of Hope", we surmise that when you get to the bottom of it all, we as a whole are the products of hope. Life can be a violent affair. Pain off set with joy. We always have hope to cling to. In this piece, the figure, kneels on both legs before light, and it should be pointed out that this is not a natural, heavenly light, not the sun, or the rays of enlightenment, he gazes upon a man made light fixture. It is left up to the viewer why this is and why is he meditating, is he praying, or is he just thinking, and what has him so hopeful?
The simplicity of the figure is offset by a cubistic, geometric pattern. The warm, hot colors of the piece make this a definite eye attention grabbing work and can bring warmth to the setting its displayed in.
